What to do in Nuclear Emergency?

Nuclear Hazard

Just a few minutes ago i wrote an article on making a nuclear weapon, and i was pretty much confident that even after reading the disclaimer that is , it was for educational purpose, few people will surely try to make one. so to protect our readers from these nuclear emergencies and keep the traffic coming, i had to write this article...

In this article, I’m not going to pretend that I’m suddenly an expert at what you need to do to protect your health in the case of an nuclear emergency.

I’m not going to explain what doses of Potassium Iodide that you need to take, nor how much seaweed you need to prevent radiation damage to your thyroid.

That would be a serious misrepresentation of my strengths and likely chip away at my credibility.

What I am going to do, is share some of the things that I do know and how they may help you make sense of this entire disaster in Japan.

Just some of the basic How to’s oF protecting yourself in the Fallout Conditions

If you are near the explosion when it occurs:

* Turn off and close your eyes and cover to prevent damage to your eyes.

* Falling to the ground face down and place your hands under your body.

If you are outside when the explosion occurs:

* Find something to cover your mouth and nose, like a scarf, handkerchief or other cloth.

* Remove any dust from your clothes by brushing, shaking, and dried in a ventilated area? However, cover your mouth and nose while you do this.

* Go to a shelter area, basement or other underground, preferably located away from the direction the wind blows.

* Remove clothing since it may be contaminated, if possible, take a shower, wash your hair and clothes before entering the change of the shelter.

If you are already in a shelter or basement:

* Cover mouth and nose with a mask or other material (such as a scarf or handkerchief) until the fallout cloud has passed.

* Turn off ventilation systems and sealing doors and windows until the fallout cloud has passed. However, after the fallout cloud has passed, unseal the doors and windows to allow some air circulation.

* Stay inside until authorities say it is safe to exit.

* Listen to local radio or television information and guidance. The authorities may direct you to stay in your shelter or evacuate to a safer place away from the area.

* If you must leave, cover your mouth and nose with a damp towel.

* Use stored food and drinking water. Do not eat food or drink cool water from the open sea.

* Clean and cover any open wounds on his body.

If advised to evacuate:

* Listen to radio or television for information on evacuation routes, temporary shelters, and procedures.

* Before leaving, close and lock the doors and windows and turn off air conditioners, vents, fans and furnace. Close the fireplace damper.

Take with you disaster supplies (such as a flashlight and extra batteries, battery-powered radio, first aid kit and manual, emergency food and water Non-electric can opener, essential medicines , cash and credit cards, and sturdy shoes).

* Remember that neighbors may require special assistance, including infants, the elderly and disabled.
